Always love a dinner invite from the Roush's because Tif  makes the most delicious meals for me and the fam.  I'm indebted to her as i rarely have her over for a homecooked meal, probably bc i despise everything about cooking, it's just a necessary evil for me. I hate tif for this reason because it comes so naturaly to her.

Here is me and my girl Amanda (Manda).  We met in our small, private school in Severn, DECADES ago,  hence those beautiful crows feet around my eyes,(ugh) and have been besties (i actually hate that word) ever since !

Ahh!  Let the weekend begin!!

Thank you T for having us over! Despite the chaos, loud, slamming doors and my finicky little eaters, we always manage to have a fab time!  It's my turn next.....I'll start planning for August :)

So, i pinned this a few days ago and finally got around to trying it.....the girls LOVED doing it TODAY,  we'll see how long this keeps them from being my precious, lazy little brats! :)

Cooking. I hate it!  So, what draws me to "pin" things onto my "food i must make" board is the recipes that have ingredients and instructions you can remember....hence these pretty yummy quesadilla's.  Mexican cheese, Avacodo, Rotisserie chicken annnnnnd BACON!!  I added some onions in there as well! 

I always loved seeing these tied vintage book bundles in magazines and in stores, but one bundle cost $29-$39.  I refused to spend that, so i went to the GoodWill, bought a bunch of books, ripped the terrible novel book covers and backs off of them and this cost me a $18 for all of these! 

Found this (actual) pin board sans the nail heads, at pottery barn for $6!  I knew i could make it pretty by going to JoAnne fabrics and adding those nail heads myself.  Ballard Designs sells an identical board like this for $59 and i paid less than $10 for everything!

While i was taking pics, i thought i'd show off my fam....

Just a quick pic of my youngest daughters room that i'm pretty proud of bc it cost me next to nothing to decorate it.....now don't let me fool you, I'm NOT a huge bargain shopper, i'll spend money when i need to, but i love spending money and penny pinching all at the same time-that makes me happy!  Please don't make me bargain shop all the time-i'd go insane.  really.

Where you'll most likely find me during the day....and harper...and Mackenzie....and Emme, if not on my lap then they are hanging on my back.  No personal space here.

I also saw this on Pinterest. Although they showed an old, worn-out handwritten letter, i just took one of Michael's letters to me and found nice frames from Pier One. I love looking at these bc i don't get these letters as often as i once did, but they are a nice little reminder! :)

Today was a challenge to say the least.  So before i call it a night i wanted to put my thoughts down somewhere, and my blog (which i still find odd) may now be my favorite spot to do this.  Somewhere between the blue nail polish catastrophe; the "i didn't get a sticker today mom because i touched the ladder after my teacher told me not to" discussion; the professional "tooth wiggling" (the dentist's not-so-scary way of saying tooth extraction) for my oldest and most FEARFUL daughter; or the just bought chic-fil-a, LARGE cookies and cream milkshake that ended up on my freshly cleaned car floor ( really?) .....i somehow remained calm (ish) and for that small accomplishment, i consider today a success.   kindof.

What made me think Harper was nicely playing with the Polly Pockets instead of being her normal-up-to-no-good- self?   I ignored the quietness because I had to get out e mails.....so maybe this was my fault that she decided to create a "Monet" with her sisters blue nailpolish all over our white carpet and herself because I wasnt paying attention.  OR is it her sisters fault for leaving it out in the first place to be easily hijacked by her curious little sister?  Whatever the case, it's only 8:40 in the morning and I. Need. A. Drink. Now!!   (but i'll refrain until i go to my boss's house later for happy hour, but i will give my self permission to drink one extra glass of pinot for every 10 minutes i spent cleaning that blue nail polish off of my precious walls!) And let me tell you, it took over an hour to clean it all up, bathe her, and paint over the blue streaks on my banister.

And by the way, the whole " paying attention" debate is a whole other topic because I can't certainly follow her around all daggon day. So we'll table that discussion for now!

Why the heck am i doing this?

ok, so let's go.  I'm here, i think more than anything so i can have some kind of outlet for all the craziness that goes on in my day to day life as well as my awesome (and may i add, hot) mommy friends!  Let me put a few things out there right away-- I'm a terrible writer, so please refrain from judging my grammar, i admit i suck....and if you are here to learn how to eloquently write--you won't learn a thing, but if you'd like to learn about what really goes on in an obsessive-compulsive, perfectionist housewife and mother of three's world,  then please, stay, because I'm coming here to candidly share my oh-so "perfect" life with you.  (and the fact that i think i'm the best dressed and hottest mom and wife around, hellllooooooo?!)

I can only say that because right now i'm writing to an audience of numero uno.....although i'll make sure i make my hubby, lex and sisters start following my every move!

So to myself,-- go grab a drink, your vanilla ice cream with peanut butter, park yourself in front of your computer, and pin things while trying to destress from another LONG day, that's STILL not over because i need to finish my part time job work!   

So, to Mike, Lex and my Mom.....
