Check PLEASE!

NON-STOP is an understatement today!  Listen, I don't want to come across as complaining because I truly wouldn't want it any other way, but my gosh, today kicked my butt in a major way.  It began at 8:00 am when i decided to put all three girls in the tub (to save Michael later in the evening when BOTH of us are completely spent and the last thing we want to do is BATH NIGHT) and that was my first mistake.  Second mistake: brushing their hair.  You would think I was stabbing each of them in the eye by the way they scream-cry when I brush their hair.  I swear, if I had a nickle every time i said we were getting all of their hair cut off I'd be rich......but each of them have the most beautifully, perfect hair that it's all just empty threats in my moment of rage and frustration-they aren't allowed to get their hair cut short, or dyed, or wear bikini's or date--EVER! :) 
The only saving grace to this s%*$ show of a day was my happy hour with the husband and then drinks with friends! 

Side note:  I attempted my first "outfit" for this blog thing....i couldn't post most of them because it just felt too awkward, but let's give it some time....I'm sure i'll have that typical "blog pose" down soon enough and you'll be over me and my outfits in no time!

OK, I wouldn't normally allow people to see the undressed bed behind me.  screw it.  Because two seconds before this picture was taken and all the crying and hair brushing, I  changed Harper (2 1/2), who should be fully potty trained, but I certainly don't feel like teaching her, so don't judge.   Anyway, as i was changing her man-sized poop, it somehow got all over the bed, normally, i just take a wipe to it, but this was too large of a job for a wipe and the entire bed had to be undressed and put in the washing machine-bleach and all......This put me WAY behind schedule for my mile-long-to-do-list......not happy.

My drinks and this were my saving grace to a hectic day!

Spring Break!

It's freaking spring break for the girls which means--CONSTANT interaction with kids.  It means more playdates, it's more complaining, more fighting, more snacking, more crying, more cleaning....... Spring Break means zero "lindsey" time, selfish, i know, but true.  Spring Break always worries me because summer is right around the corner and if i am ready to ship the kids off somewhere the first 15 minutes of them being awake, how the heck am i going to get through summer?? and i love summer.  I need to find a nice happy medium and find ways to have ME time in amongst all the craziness....and that's what i'm going to set out to do and that's perfectly OK!

BIG hiatus, but i'm BACK!

So, I left blogging for a second because i have been beyond busy, but as much as i think this a strange thing to do (because really, who cares about my life, really) I keep wanting to write....even though i SUCK at it.

Let me fill you (all 3 of you!) in.  I have been working extra hours.  my oldest daughter, Mackenzie just started her orthodontics and is costing us a fortune in head gear, literally, so the extra hours have been kind of nice.  I also went to Palm Springs with Michael (for work) and it was so much fun! 

With Summer right around the corner i have been trying to keep up with the gym, yet still trying to find time for the girls, all their issues, playdates and homework.....trying to maintain friendships and relationships and not doing a great job at either, making sure dinner is made for the fam,that the bills are paid, house is straight and that i put in good, solid hours for my job all the while trying to keep my sanity in tact...... THANK GOD for Happy Hours or this mom would be at Shepard Pratt!!
